As founder of the World Juggling Federation, Jason Garfield has produced and edited 14 Sport Juggling Competition programs for ESPN including 5 live telecasts and 12 International Juggling Conventions in Las Vegas, NV, Hartford, CT, Springfield, Ill, and Sioux Falls, SD. Jason's main focus through the production of these events is to provide motivation, incentive and reward for the new generation of jugglers to surpass the skill level of the previous generation. The 7 Club incentive competition and Major League Combat are the most current and compelling efforts on this front.
In 2014 & 2015, Jason created a multi-skill and alternative sport event entitled "SkillCon" where he also produced two hours of competition programming for ESPN with celebrity commentator Penn Jillette (of Penn & Teller) including the 2014 WJF Overall Championship and Combat Juggling which has been featured on The Colbert Report.
Jason spent the year planning the biggest and largest SkillCon yet, the 3rd annual SkillCon in December at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Jason produced multiple promotional videos for each of the events such as the one below. This would be the year that Jason attempts to produce his vision of a SkillCon highlights program, later on in the year rebranded as "The Moxie Games". Kuma Films attended and produced an awesome highlights video from the event.
Jason achieved the formerly unachievable and created two new sports (Dodge Juggle & Bottle Flipping) and a new program for ESPN entitled "The Moxie Games". This program, identified as the olympics of outside-the-box-sports, was featured on ESPNU on August 8th, 2017 during their "Tribute to the Ocho" theme day broadcast during which they rebranded ESPNU as ESPN8. And The Moxie Games was also touted as "The Big Tamale" by Barstool Sports. Twitter also exploded with praise for the Moxie Games.
